Worried about your next dental procedure or surgery? Let us help! We offer sedation dentistry to our patients to help them relax during their dental work.
Nitrous Oxide
Nitrous Oxide or otherwise referred to as "laughing gas" is used to help relax patients while getting dental work completed.
Sedation and Dental Implant Survery
At Secure Dental, IV sedation is mainly used during our dental implant surgeries. This helps our patients to relax during their surgeries and helps the doctor to complete the surgery in a shorter amount of time.

What is Sedation Dentistry?
Sedation Dentistry is used to help patients feel calm when getting dental work completed. Through the use of medication, we help patients relax. This type of sedation dentistry can be referred to “twilight sleep” as it can cause “forgetfulness” or short-term amnesia where you are unable to feel pain without being fully put to sleep.
What is Sedation Dentistry Used For?
Patients of all ages can benefit from sedation dentistry, including pediatric patients. This treatment can be recommended for patients with the following:
Dental Surgeries
Dental anxiety
Claustrophobic patients
Fear of needles
Special needs patients
What type of Sedation Dentistry is Available at Secure Dental?
Secure Dental offers two types of sedation dentistry to give our patients more options than traditional general anesthesia. Our goal is to create a comfortable, easy, and warm dental experience. We understand that can take an extra step with some, so we offer Nitrous Oxide and IV Sedation options for our patients.
IV Sedation
IV sedation is the deepest form of conscious sedation offered by Secure Dental. This type of sedation allows our anesthesiologist to deliver sedation medication directly to the bloodstream. Most individuals who received this type of sedation fall asleep and do not remember or have little memory of their dental work that was completed.
Nitrous Oxide
Nitrous Oxide is commonly known as “laughing gas” and is breathed through a mask mixed with oxygen. This helps you relax during your appointment. Your dentist can control the amount of nitrous oxide you receive so that you are continuously comfortable during your appointment.
